To advance the Boyer legacy, the Ernest L. Boyer Center bestows the following annual awards and grants:
The Boyer Legacy Award is a $500 prize presented annually to a Messiah University junior whose work and life embody Dr. Boyer’s commitment to renewing society through education.
The Boyer Teacher Scholarship is a $1500 grant given to teacher education students at five universities across the country. This grant supports aspiring teachers chosen for their commitment to serving the community.
Research grants up to $1000 are available for faculty, educational leaders, graduate and undergraduate students to utilize the archival collection to advance their scholarly projects.
The Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SOTL) Grant is awarded annually to four Messiah University faculty. This $1500 grant is a special initiative for faculty interested in developing, implementing, and disseminating a scholarship project that advances understanding of teaching and learning.
