The Covered Bridge The Covered BridgeThe Covered Bridge is a familiar landmark on the Messiah Campus, located above the Yellow Breeches Creek. Officially named "The Bowmansdale Bridge," it was moved to Messiah College campus and rebuilt by students in 1973. The timber deck has been replaced by a cement and steel deck. It is one of the few covered bridges left in Cumberland County. Today, the bridge connects the rest of campus to Starry Athletic Fields.
