Messiah’s fall 2021 Chorister’s Workshop will allow high school choristers the opportunity to work with Messiah University choral/vocal faculty on exciting choral repertoire with singers from other schools. Special guest Dr. Jeffery Ames will join Drs. Rachel Cornacchio and Joy Meade for the day-long event which will include working as a group on repertoire by Ames, performances by Messiah University ensembles and professional development for teachers in the state-of-the-art High Center.
The day will begin with registration at 8:30 a.m. in the High Center, Messiah University. Rehearsals and workshops will take place throughout the day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a final concert showcase at 5 p.m.
Registration for the event begins on September 1, 2021, with final payment due October 15, 2021.
The cost is $30 per chorister and includes a festival T-shirt, lunch, music, rehearsals and workshops. There is no cost for teachers bringing choristers. Teachers not bringing students interested in auditing the day’s events are welcome to attend. The cost for participation in workshops is $10. ACT 48 credit is available.
