The surprisingly good news on energy, environment and our future

We gain great good from our use of energy, but the unintended side effects of our current system have large costs.  By making wise use of our knowledge, with respect for our history and commitment to our future, we can improve the economy as well as the environment.  We are the first generation that knows how to supply abundant energy to everyone almost forever.  

 

Bio: Dr. Richard Alley is the Evan Pugh Professor of Geoscience at Penn State University. He is a respected and revered scholar of glaciology where has made a significant contribution to climate change research. He has over 240 scientific publications and has contributed to research for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). In 1999, 2003, 2007, and 2010 Dr. Alley testified before the US Senate and/or the US House of Representatives on climate change.
