PDE Certification - Teaching Certification (7-12 or PK-12)
Messiah University’s Master of Education with a degree track in PK-12 or secondary education prepares individuals with a bachelor’s degree in an area other than education to pursue a career as a teacher and to sit for the PA level I teaching certification examination in 1 of 15 content areas. Students who are able to secure a full-time or long-term substitute teaching position while pursuing their teaching certification may apply for the Pennsylvania intern certification program.
