Schrag Lecture 2018
The 2018 Schrag Lecture was delivered by Dr. Duane Stoltzfus, professor of communication at Goshen College in Goshen, Indiana.
The lecture was held on February 27, 2018 at 7 p.m. in Parmer Hall, at the Calvin and Janet High Center for Worship and Performing Arts, Messiah College.
Dr. Stoltzfus's lecture, “On the Frontlines of Conscience: An Account of Four Hutterites Sentenced to Hard Labor at Alcatraz during WorldWar I” drew on his recent book, Pacifists in Chains: The Persecution of Hutterites during the Great War (Johns Hopkins University Press, 2013).
