Courses and curriculum
Throughout the nursing degree curriculum, you’ll develop increasing ability to make clinical judgments in a variety of settings while learning the roles of a beginning professional nurse. Curricular competencies are guided by the AACN Essentials of Baccalaureate Education for Professional Nursing Practice (2008), professional values and nursing knowledge supported by the liberal and applied sciences. You’ll progress through the curriculum at three levels. The first area focuses on learning how to care for individuals, families and communities within a Christian worldview. The second level focuses on caring for those same people throughout the lifespan. And finally, during the third level of curriculum you learn to care for those people in a variety of diverse and complex healthcare delivery environments.
