How to Get Help Through the Office of Academic Accessibility

What Do I Do If I Think I Have a Disability?

Staff in the Office of Academic Accessibility (Murray Library) or in the Engle Center for Counseling and Health Services can refer you to an outside organization for an evaluation to determine eligibility. Some screening services may be available on campus.  At this time, you will need to be referred to an off-campus agency if you need to have a complete psychological evaluation.

If you are interested in getting this process started, you can complete the New Student or Current Student Self Referral online forms. The Office of Academic Accessibility will be in touch with you to schedule an appointment when they receive these forms.

What if I have a previously identified disability?

You may present current documentation of your disability to the Office of Academic Accessibility (OAA). Our team will review your documentation to determine eligibility. If approved, we will collaborate with you to develop a personalized assistance plan. OAA staff will help identify the accommodations you need for your classes and other campus services. Once finalized, we will provide you with an accommodation letter to share with your faculty. If you need guidance on how to present this letter to your faculty, the OAA is here to assist you.

Please see this link for the Eligibility Guide for documentation guidelines.
