Eligibility Requirements:
“The UNCF/Merck Science Initiative is dedicated to supporting the training of world-class African American biological and chemical scientists and engineers toward achieving complementary goals of national economic competitiveness and social diversity.” The scholarship is provided to at least 37 deserving applicants, 15 being at the undergraduate level, 12 at the graduate level and 10 at the postdoctoral level. Also, this program may provide grants to the science departments of the receiver’s institution. Each Scholarship can be from $30,000 to $92,000.
