College and Graduate School: B.A. in Biblical Literature from Indiana Wesleyan, Master of Divinity from Western Theological Seminary
Favorite activities: Baking, popular culture, walks with my dog, Poppy, and adventures exploring new places.
Why did you come to Messiah? I had the privilege of working at my undergrad institution for eight years. I started in the Honors College helping with recruitment, first year experience, and spiritual formation. For the last five years, though, I had the best job as a Resident Director for a co-ed, upperclass, apartment space. I love Residence Life because it’s where a conversation about Taylor Swift can transition to building a life post-college or navigating a difficult conversations. Even though the Lord had made it clear that it was time to move on from being an RD and from IWU, I hoped and prayed I could continue working with RDs, RAs, and in Residence Life. Enter Messiah. I was so impressed with the care with which Messiah approached Residence Life and care for students. All my interactions with Messiah showed me that this was a place I could do the work I love with people who cared deeply about one another and students.
