Assessment plans gather evidence of student learning in relation to institution and program specific outcomes. At Messiah, faculty collaboratively develop an assessment plan each degree program. This assessment plan:
States the major or program’s learning outcomes;
Demonstrates how the program outcomes align with Messiah’s institutional outcomes;
States the measures by which we assess student learning on the program (and institutional) outcomes. This could be a test, paper, project, performance, etc.;
States what level of learning we expect students to achieve (target);
Provides the timeline for when data will be gathered and analyzed for the student learning.
