DestinationsYellow BreechesThe Yellow Breeches is a Class I-II creek. You can see part of it which runs through campus near the athletic fields. It’s a great creek for beginners because most of it is flat water. For your information, there is a put-in location at the covered bridge. You can follow the Breeches for about three miles and take out by the “D-Lot” parking area. Dauphin NarrowsThe Dauphin Narrows is part of the Susquehanna River. It is very wide and has strong currents. Most of it is Class I-II. Codorus CreekA fun whitewater river that offers Class III rapids and occasionally Class IV. Experts are advised only to run this river with the correct equipment, training, and leaders. Muddy RiverA whitewater river that offers Class III and Class IV rapids. Experienced paddlers are advised only to run this river with the correct equipment, training, and leaders. Shenandoah RiverThe Shenandoah Staircase is a classic run that has an appeal to a wide variety of paddlers. Lower water creates a superb training ground for the beginner paddler to hone their skills. Medium water creates several small and fun play spots to delight the play boater. High water brings out the big water enthusiasts and the extreme rodeo stars. The run is 1.9 miles but you can easily play for three or four hours!
