Impact from capital investments
Colleges also invest their own dollars on campus in the form of new buildings, large-scale renovations, and major maintenance projects. Over the three-year period from FY 2014 to FY 2016, Messiah University made $43 million in total investment. These investments in turn boost the local construction industry and have spillover effects throughout multiple sectors.
