Highway trash removal

To help keep its local community free of trash and debris, the students from Messiah’s Earth Keepers organization volunteer to beautify Lisburn Road with bi-annual cleanups.

Free bike service and repair

Messiah’s Bike Club services bikes for free for on- and off-campus clients throughout the fall and spring semesters. Customers pay market price for any replacement parts needed, but absolutely nothing for the service.

Other community services

Community members are welcome to join Messiah’s sustainability efforts by:

Renting a 4 X 6 garden box in our lower community garden
Volunteering in the gardens by planting, weeding or harvesting
Joining us on our community garden market day to purchase farm fresh produce
Using a campus venue to host a sustainable event
Scheduling a tour of our sustainability efforts on campus
Joining us as we hear from nationally acclaimed speakers on the topics of sustainability, environmentalism and biodiversity.
