I’m delighted you've stopped by, and I hope you’ll take some time to learn a bit about us, our students and our work. Our department is a community of students and Christian scholars who specialize in biblical studies, Christian ministry, philosophy, religious history, theology and world religions.
Our goal is to model and encourage informed thinking about Christian faith and practice and the role of religion in the world. We foster spiritual, philosophical and theological reflection that enables individuals to develop and deepen Christian commitment, interpret matters of faith intelligently and minister to others with wisdom and compassion. Our students explore life's most fundamental questions as they learn to think clearly, analytically and creatively about controversial ideas while developing and articulating their own distinctly Christian worldview.
Please take a few moments to explore our faculty, programs and course offerings. You can also learn more about our approach to teaching the Bible and Theology at Messiah University. I would be happy to answer any questions you might have, so don’t hesitate to contact me.
