Partnering to advance your physical therapy practice and education
Advance your physical therapy practice and education with Messiah University and NAIOMT
Messiah University and NAIOMT have partnered to bring continuing educational programs to physical therapists who wish to enhance their practice and further their education. Programs include PT continuing education courses and post-professional certification, an accredited orthopedic clinical residency and a Doctor of Science in physical therapy degree.
Continuing education courses and COMT certification
NAIOMT and Messiah offer a series of five physical therapy continuing education courses designed for licensed physical therapists and third-year DPT students. The courses are held at Messiah University’s PT educational facility and focus on orthopedic manual therapy. Courses can be taken individually or stacked to earn post-professional Certified Orthopedic Musculoskeletal Therapist (COMT) certification.
Orthopedic clinical residency program
The NAIOMT/Messiah University Orthopedic Residency* will help you develop a knowledge base in the specialty practice of orthopedics and the technical skills required to treat a general orthopedic population at a mastery level and prepare you to sit for board certification exams. Through a mix of live, synchronous and asynchronous coursework, this ABPTRFE-accredited program is designed to provide all the benefits of residency training without having to relocate. The core courses can be taken at Messiah University, at another location closer to where the resident-in-training resides, or online.
