Messiah University (Messiah) officially announced today a new K-12 educational partnership—named the Pathway Partners Program—designed to create mutually beneficial lifelong learning opportunities between Messiah and the students, families and employees of its partner schools. While Messiah develops each partnership to address the unique needs of the partner school, agreements typically include a tuition discount, dual enrollment opportunities, continuing education and graduate programming for partner employees, traditional undergraduate enrollment scholarships, special campus events and facility access, and summer camp programming for partner students.
Messiah also announced that its first Pathway Partner collaboration is with the Christian School Association of Greater Harrisburg (CSAGH), a private Christian school district serving over 870 students in grades K-12. CSAGH operates two schools, Harrisburg Christian School (Linglestown, Pa.) and West Shore Christian Academy (Shiremanstown, Pa.), in a single unified private Christian school district in the Capital Region.
“Messiah University is pleased to launch our Pathway Partners Program with an organization like the Christian School Association of Greater Harrisburg that shares a common mission to bring high-quality, Christ-centered education to its students and to further educational excellence and learning for life in our region,” said Rob Pepper, associate provost for graduate and professional studies and university partnerships at Messiah.
“Promoting educational partnerships is a central part of Messiah University’s current strategic plan,” said Pepper. “We are intentionally seeking new ways to work together with other organizations that share Messiah’s commitment to helping mentor students toward deeper intellect, professional competence, personal integrity, and mature faith expressed in love of God and neighbor.”
“We are so excited about our partnership with Messiah University and its potential to impact our association. One of our strategic initiatives is to strengthen and support our faculty and staff, so this partnership allows us to provide further education for our employees at an effective price. This partnership also impacts our students who want to gain college credits while in high school,” said Mark Seymour, president of the Christian School Association of Greater Harrisburg.
