Construction Underway for the Calvin and Janet High Center for Worship and Performing Arts
The landscape of the Messiah College campus is changing as construction of the new High Center for Worship and Performing Arts progresses. The focal point of the Centennial Campaign, the High Center will provide for a host of needs at Messiah, including elective chapels, special worship services, and performances by gifted artists.
The cost of constructing the High Center for Worship and Performing Arts will be completely provided by past and current gifts to Messiah. As is the case with all capital building projects, tuition dollars will not be used to fund constrution. Although we have been blessed by the generosity of faithful friends who have invested to make this building a reality, we are in need of additional gifts of all sizes.
The Calvin and Janet High Center for Worship and Performing Arts will provide 92,000 square feet of much needed and dedicated space for both our theatre and musical arts programming, including an expanded performing arts venue with seating for 825, along with a choir loft seating 140-160, to be used for concerts, public lectures, and chapels.
"The privilege and honor of being able to worship the Lord and to share with other students my passion for worship is what I love about Messiah. My first year was a bit difficult, but I learned God can transform me through the talents has has given me and the people who surround me. Now, I love my major. I love the worship community and the other organizations I'm involved with. I feel I have found my passion and I'm accomplishing what the Lord brought me here to do."
