TESOL certificate (undergraduate) at Messiah College
The TESOL certificate is for undergraduate students as well as non-degree seeking adult learners who desire specialized skills in engaging with individuals learning the English language.
This certificate will successfully equip you to engage in service or vocation with English learners. Earning a TESOL certificate offers additional employment opportunities for graduates, as most job postings for teaching English to adults (both domestically and internationally) list a TESOL certificate as a requirement of the position.

- ESL teachers can find jobs within a wide array of venues including school systems, organizations that attract foreign workers, with colleges and universities, and as independent tutors.

Students with a bachelor’s degree paired with an additional a TESOL certificate will be equipped to secure positions such as:

Currently enrolled, degree-seeking students may declare the TESOL certificate by going to the Registrar’s Office (first floor, Old Main) during regular business hours. It must be declared before completion of your undergraduate degree and is not retroactive for alumni of Messiah.
