Position Title: Graduate Assistant, Assessment of Student Learning
Department: Office of Assessment
Reports To: Director of Assessment
Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Director of Assessment, the Graduate Assistant will perform duties related to the University's academic assessment program. This is a two year, 20 hours/week, appointment not to exceed 800 hours/year. Commitment runs from approximately August 1st – May 30th each of the two years.
Education Required: Bachelor's degree required; current enrollment in one of the degrees within the Graduate Program in Higher Education Leadership at Messiah University.
Experience Required: Working in a setting that requires significant interaction with people (e.g. office; retail; service industry, etc.), experience working with computer systems.

- Ability to work effectively with a wide range of campus offices and individuals
- Ability and willingness to follow through with assisting educators
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Christian faith commitment required

Primary Duties |
1. |
Provide assessment services to educators through individual consultation and group workshops, particularly related to use of campus assessment software |
2. |
Assist the Director of Assessment in the entry/revision of assessment plans in campus assessment software and perform additional assigned work in assessment software to ensure effective assessment data collection and accurate curriculum mapping |
3. |
Contribute to the development of assessment resources for campus educators, reports, and proposals |
4. |
Maintain consistent and reliable attendance |

Serves on Assessment of Student Learning Committee (ASLC) |
2. |
Other duties as assigned. |
