Research and Internship

There are many different opportunities for research and hands-on experience at Messiah! Our faculty and students are involved in research projects throughout the semester, and there are summer research experiences held at Messiah and other universities. We have partnered with companies to provide internships for students during the year and over the summer and are always looking to make more connections to allow students to experience the professional world.

ELI Requirement

• The Teacher Education Program (CIST, MATT, PHYT) requires student teaching.
• Actuarial Science, Computer and Information Science, and Cybersecurity require an internship.
• All other majors (Digital Media, Mathematics, Physics) must complete some sort of ELI activity. An internship or research experience can fulfill this requirement.
