Cyber Scholarships

The Messiah University Cybersecurity Education Program is pleased to participate in the DoD Cyber Service Academy, a scholarship program and capacity building tool that promotes the education, recruitment, and retention of rising junior and senior undergraduates and graduate/doctoral students in cybersecurity studies. Two of our cybersecurity students were awarded this scholarship in the spring of 2024, and we look forward to offering it again in the fall of each academic year.

The scholarship provides:

  • Full tuition
  • Required books and fees (including institutionally provided health care)
  • A one-time laptop/computer purchase
  • Travel support to attend a cyber-related conference.
  • A stipend of $27,000 (undergraduate students) to cover room and board.
  • Disabled students may receive additional allowances.

Scholarship requirements:

  • Applicants must be rising juniors and seniors in the fall of the academic year for which they are applying.
  • Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2.
  • Applicants must be US citizens.
  • Applicants who are awarded the scholarship must agree to work for the DoD as a civilian for one year for each year of scholarship received.
