Marketing and Communications Staff

We are a creative, dedicated group of writers, editors, designers, web specialists, marketers, event planners and public relations professionals excited to tell the stories of Messiah University's outstanding students, employees and alumni in print, on the web, in multimedia, in the news media, on social media and through special events.

As the Office of Marketing and Communications (OMC), we are driven by our mission to strategically and creatively communicate the mission, stories and brand of Messiah University, advancing the people, programs and priorities of the institution.

Full Bio

Kris Hardy

Director of web and digital marketing

Oversees the day-to-day operations of the University’s externally facing website; responsible for the development of innovative and creative Web-based communications tools; assists the University in identifying and executing new web strategies; manages comprehensive Web communication projects.

 

Danielle Ran

Director of communications

Oversees the University's content strategy; responsible for the media relations program; maintains and oversees official social media channels; serves as institutional spokesperson and member of the University Crisis Management Team.

Becca Powell

Creative director

Oversees the department's creative strategy, quality, brand, visual identity and design staff; designs The Bridge, President's Report and other print, web and promotional pieces.

Nick Corchado

Digital marketing manager

Creates and monitors digital ads for Messiah graduate programs, undergraduate degrees, and campus events

Natalie Frank

Communications specialist

Creates diverse content for marketing platforms, focusing on social media, web, and print communications; leads day-to-day social media management, implementing Messiah’s strategy across major platforms; updates academic profiles and oversees graduate program marketing initiatives.

Karen Garlinger

Project coordinator

Karen’s responsibilities include but aren’t limited to: managing the office’s project management system, capturing and coordinating campus photography, creating the weekly employee newsletter as well as interfacing with campus clients and Messiah Press.

Sherri Hoffman

Marketing coordinator

Coordinates special events and lectures; assists with commencement planning, undergraduate and graduate advertising and marketing research projects

Graphic designer

Designs print, email and Web publications for campus clients

Web services manager

Responsible for daily maintenance of the messiah.edu website, providing exceptional customer service, offering training on the university content management system, and continually seeking ways to enhance website efficiency and accessibility.

Anna Seip

Editor, The Bridge Magazine

Edits and coordinates the tri-annual alumni magazine, The Bridge, oversees proofreading for University print publications
